The institution will cater to underprivileged girls and will be set up in Uttar Pradesh

From announcing her willingness to donate her eyes at a very young age and helping to raise money for victims of the 2004 Tsunami, to serving as a brand ambassador for an international campaign to eradicate Polio, Ash is indeed a good samaritan; her achievements and social causes have been noted by the most respected people world over. It's no wonder then that the 38-year-old overachiever will have a college named after her shortly.
The college, allegedly to be named The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Girls' College, will be set up in Daulatpur village in Uttar Pradesh and be open to underprivileged girls in the region.
Jaya Prada's foundation was originally supposed to undertake the construction of the college. According to a Bachchan family representative, Amitabh Bachchan's foundation, Sewa Sansthan, will now be taking over as the construction was taking too long under Jaya Prada's foundation's umbrella. The college will, rumouredly, be constructed by next year and will also have graduate courses. Sources also say that the Big B offered a cheque of approximately Dhs22000 toward the work.
We are impressed and moved with this venture and hope other celebrities follow the Bachchan's suit! www.cocoopix.blogspot.com
